French Colombard has always been toward the ‘sweet side’, and is well known in France for another reason in that the grape was regularly used to make Cognac. In addition, French Colombard grapes are the second most produced grape in California behind Chardonnay. French Colombard juice is naturally sweet and is used in sweetening baby food. Clean and refreshing, this wine is full of tropical and citrus fruits, predominantly grapefruit, and meyer lemon. There is a hint of convection sugar in the middle palate with a nice clean acidic finish.
This blush is made from our Estate Black Spanish grapes and Muscat of Alexandra. A perfect salmon shade, with scents of peaches, cherries and watermelon. It hits the palate with big, ripe, fresh fruit, crisp citrus and cherries. Concentrated and full, with a crisp, fresh back end that lingers into a cherry-vanilla finish- demi-sweet, fruity, smooth and drinkable any time with anything. One of our best selling wines for good reason – a terrific ‘Texas Style®’ wine.
This is our proprietary red wine designed by Dry Comal Creek Vineyards as a “signature-type” wine. The Comal Red XIV is a fruity, slightly sweet red wine with overtones of berries, hints of chocolate and tobacco. The finish is full of cherry, nutmeg and sage. In Hungary, if you order red wine, inevitably it will be sweet because that is their style. But they can be extremely delicious, very rich and very fulfilling red wines. This is our attempt to copy the Hungarian “Ausbruch”. You will find it is not too sweet and has an extremely smooth, rich taste. Serve well-chilled with any kind of hefty food such as barbeque or Italian food with red sauce. Our best selling red wine—nothing else this side of Hungary even comes close.
A rich, smooth light red wine with fruit, full mouth feel, earthy spices and light tannins. The back label lists the individuals that personally “foot pressed” the grapes on a hot Texas afternoon at our annual grape-stomp. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Tinta Cao and Toriga Nacional (both Portugese Varietals) grapes makes this a fun signature wine for sipping.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi, CA, this wine is deep ruby in color with a clear rim. Medium bodied with a fruity front and a long spicy finish. Aged for 12 months in new, French and American oak barrels. It has aromas and flavors of blackberries, cassis, bing cherry, smoke and mild tobacco. The finish is slightly acidic which makes it a great wine to compliment your favorite meals.
